World's largest ethanol facility lookingfor that PERFECT EH&S candidateSalary range if $45K-$50KCandidate must possess strong training skillsEnvironmental Health & Safety Coordinator SUMMARYEH & S Coordinators are responsible for creating and maintaining records and documentation of training for the Operations and Environmental and Safety Departments. This coordinator is also responsible for scheduling and coordinating safety training sessions. They are also accountable for providing general clerical support for three department managers. EH & S coordinators are also large participants in safety audits, plant inspections, and safety reviews. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Provide general clerical support for Technical Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Operations Manager.2. Collect data, maintain records document training, and manage filing systems for Operations, Environmental and Safety.3. Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as necessary.4. Schedule and coordinate safety training sessions.5. Become trained in safety issues to complement plant programs.6. Participate in safety audits, plant inspections, safety reviews, and other activities as needed throughout the facility.7. Organize and maintain documentation, filing and verification system for all Environmental and Safety Programs.8. Maintain schedules of management to facilitate communications.9. Work in an honest and ethical manner, maintaining confidentiality on all business related matters.10. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Technical Manager.11. Maintain a team environment with other plant departments.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position along with effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. High School Diploma or equivalent. Employee must be experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Safety-related work experience preferred. Must also have basic knowledge of business machines. Employee must possess proficient filing, documentation, record keeping, and organizational skills. Employee should also be detail oriented. WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position operates in a plant environment, as well as office environment. In the office, the employee will work on a personal computer. In the plant environment, employee will be required to adhere to all Safety requirements and may be exposed to noise, heat, and other elements both inside and outside. This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding of company policy, procedures, and values.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and exposed to chemicals.Specific Physical requirements include:a. Occasionally lifting weights of fifty (50) pounds or less.b. Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.c. Opening valves.d. Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds.e. Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.f. Walk two (2) or more miles per day.g. Pushing brooms, shovels, etc.h. Working at heights, in confined spaces, and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.i.
