Executive Director, Customer Operations

Brewer Science, a leading supplier of specialty coatings to the microelectronics industry, located in Rolla, Missouri, is currently seeking a full-time Executive Director, Customer Operations.
Summary: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the major focus of this new role will be to develop and lead a team of professionals across all business functions with particular focus on Sales and Operations.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Daily Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of company Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and functional groups in Operations, which will include Global Sales, Technical Support and Customer Support; Manufacturing; and Sustaining Research & Development.
Build and lead an effective and cohesive operations management team comprising Strategic Business Unit leaders and operational functional group directors.
Design and implement a system for tracking and reporting corporate and Strategic Business Unit operational performance on a daily basis. The system will report against established plans and budgets.
Monitor business unit performance and report status to the Chief Executive Officer on a regular basis.
Analyze operational performance and assist business unit leaders with implementing corrective actions to meet business unit objectives.
Monitor monthly and other financial statements; implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure that Operations and its units remain within budget and are responsive to the overall financial needs of the corporation.
Oversee the development and implementation of operational systems that will help the Company to grow and deliver its services more efficiently.
Ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood, but owned by the operations management team and associated employees.
Ensure that the Company and its businesses comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, follow best practices with respect to environmental protection and human health and safety.
Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and followed by all employees within Operations.
Strategic and Tactical Planning:
Establish prioritized operational objectives that will allow us to achieve corporate strategic initiatives.
Coordinate annual planning for Strategic Business Unit and operational functional groups to assure integration and consistency with the operational objectives and corporate strategic initiatives.
Develop fiscally responsible annual operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar.
Senior Management:
Reflect company values of trust, excellence, win-win, commitment, and freedom through leadership style and personal conduct, both internally and externally.
Assume responsibility for the short-term and long-term success of the corporation as a member of the Corporate Management Team (CMT).
Work cohesively with other Corporate Management Team members to serve the best interests of the corporation.
Serve as a mentor and example for employees and associates.
Assist the Chief Executive Officer in evaluating potential new business lines and the future profitability of such endeavors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Management
Ten years of experience in management.
Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
