Field Operations Technician

The Field Operations Technician will manage the production of natural gas from producing properties in western Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be required to live in or near the city of Elk City, OK.

Accountabilities Include:Manage the daily production, optimization and maintenance of well site and facility flow process equipment from wellhead to custody transfer point.Maintain efficient operations and maintenance of produced water disposal systems.Troubleshoot production performance of well site and facility flow process equipment and components of optimum performance and operating efficiency.Utilize work orders and planning/scheduling processes as cost management tools and ensure efficient use of consumables.Assure appropriate reporting, data collection, training, certification and regulatory compliance are complete.Perform required duties during emergencies as part of the Incident Management Plan, including securing well site flow process equipment.Monitor and provide preventative maintenance on corrosion inhibition systems.Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, optimize and calibrate all automation related equipment and systems as needed to ensure optimal automation system and equipment functionality.Work with other job functions such as measurement, electronics, electrical and operations for optimal automation system utilization.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Field Operations Technician applicants must have:Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.Proof of a valid drivers license and a clear driving record.The willingness and ability to relocate to, or commute on a daily basis to, Elk City, OK, without company assistance.The ability to work callouts, overtime, weekends, holidays and emergency responses as required in order to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.The willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.Experience in the oil and gas industry as it relates to natural gas production with a working knowledge of well and facility operations as well as the following equipment: pumping units, plunger lift, production units, wellheads, positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and the understanding of automation well control.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:A minimum of three years of relevant gas field experience.Experience with automated well control and plunger lifts.Experience with automation troubleshooting and repair.A proficient level of general computer skills.
