Field Project Planner/Scheduler

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field of study, or equivalent education/experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the planning field, preferably in the oil production or drilling industry.Solid PC experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Power Point, Word, Access and Outlook (email).Experienced in the use of major ERP programs such as Primavera(P3) and Microsoft Project.

 

 

Essential Functions



 Integrate schedules from the Engineering Department, Engineering Design firms, contractors and clients to create a master program schedule.Identify all critical paths within a project by using float path analysis.Create custom formatted graphics, including Gantt charts, Activity Network Diagrams, Times-Scaled Logic Diagrams and Histograms.Plan and schedule projects with resource loaded networks to project the required manpower loading using individual resource histograms.Track and maintain a materials procurement schedule to identify deliveries, shipping and receiving statuses including FAT’s.Document risks and calculate risk exposure values and impacts on the project’s schedule, costs and durations.Coordinate labor, material, equipment and subcontractors to ensure on-schedule, on-budget completion.Create unlimited “what-if” scenarios to explore alternatives.Break activities down into Level 5 schedules to better track the work package.Log issues that are causing increase risks to the project due to schedule delays or increases to cost forecasts.Keep and maintain a lessons learned database for use on follow-on projects.

NOTE: Position starts out contract in Mississippi for three months and transitions to China for 3-4 months, and back to Houston as a full-time/direct hire position
