Job Summary

Our client is a large Chemical Company with nearly 100 facilities and operations in over 2000 countries. We are seeking a Fixed Equipment Engineer who can provide technical support for stationary equipment design, specification, selection, fabrication, inspection, installation, and maintenance, including vessels, heat exchangers, reactors and piping for Primary Materials Engineering (PME).  This engineer will also consult corporate-wide on stationary equipment issues and will be a subject matter expert for the company.

 

Major Job Accountabilities And Responsibilities

-  Provides technical consultation for Stationary Equipment and Piping Systems, including support systems, stress analysis and standards maintenance.

-  Supports capital project work in the design, specification, selection, fabrication, installation and start-up of stationary equipment and piping systems.

-  Provides technical leadership or support to the Pipe, Valve and Fitting vendor alliance, the Fabricated Equipment vendor alliance, and the FAB Team.

-  Oversees or performs Fitness-for-Service evaluations on stationary equipment and piping systems with the goal of extending the life of the equipment.

-  Provides stationary equipment and piping systems Best Practice and standards mentoring and training for the PME community.

-  Provides back-up support for the Plant Stationary Equipment Engineer and the other Stationary Equipment/Piping Engineering Specialist.

-  Proficient with computerized equipment design/analysis software (MathCad, CodeCalc, PVElite, and Caesar II).

 

Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSME is preferred)

·  10 + years experience including stationary equipment and piping systems aspects with:

  ¨ Design  ¨ Fabrication  ¨ Specification  ¨ Installation  ¨ Selection  ¨ Start-up
