Brenntag is the worldwide leader in chemical distribution with over 130 years in business. Brenntag Pacific, Inc. has more than doubled in size over the last few years. As a result of that growth we are in need of an experienced Fleet Manager.

 

Your mission as the Fleet Manager will be to oversee the company’s commercial vehicle and automobile fleet program. You will ensure that Brenntag Pacific is compliant with all regulatory agencies, identify any concerns regarding our fleet program and develop programs and/or training to prevent issues. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

 

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 

· Work with our facilities to educate employees on commercial vehicle and automobile safety, develop training programs to increase safety and efficiency of our commercial vehicles, automobile fleet and drivers.

· Develop and maintain the company’s vehicle fleet and driver strategy.

· Facilitate new equipment specification and procurement, vehicle maintenance, inspection and disposal of used fleet equipment.

· Ensure the compilation and submission of reports, surveys and audits required by regulatory agencies, vendors, customers and to Brenntag in a timely manner.

· Oversee the ongoing implementation and operation of all electronic vehicle/driver management systems related to Brenntag’s fleet.

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 A minimum of 5 years experience in commercial fleet management, preferably in the chemical manufacturing or distribution industry.In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicle operations, commercial driver requirements and their related regulatory needs.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.Exceptional ability to interface with all levels of staff and applicable regulatory agencies in a professional manner.Strong administrative skills.Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.Proficient level of skill with Microsoft office products.Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
