Group Head, Petroleum Applications

Experience Requirements-The desired candidate will have 10+ years experience in the industry with 5+ years experience in the oilfield industry with experience in the formulation of oilfield products including drilling muds, fracturing fluids and production improvement products.  It is highly desirable that the candidate have experience either troubleshooting or servicing oil production sites.  Experience in fuel additives will be considered a plus.  Supervisory experience is required, and preferably experience managing Ph.D. level professionals.  The candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  International experience is a plus.

 

Description-The position is responsible for managing the Petroleum research program in the Americas and will be a member of the Global Petroleum Business Team lead by the Global Business Manager Petroleum.  The position directly reports to the Vice President, Research and Technology, Surfactants and has a strong working relationship with Global Business Manager.  The Group Head Petroleum Applications and his/her team are involved in all aspects of technical customer relations including customer meetings and handling customers requests and issues.  The Group Head will design and implement the research program for Petroleum for the Americas, and strongly influence the design of the global research program based on his/her understanding of the needs of the Petroleum market. 

 Additionally the Group Head will work with the Petroleum Business Manager to help develop and grow the Petroleum business by identification of new markets for Company products
