System Administrator for the electronic time and attendance system (currently CyberShift, version 3.2.0.44).  Ensures efficient functioning and accuracy of the Freeport payroll processing for the nonexempt employees at the Freeport site.  Also supports Freeport Human Resources department with staffing and employee relations initiatives.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES —

Payroll

1. Is required to have a full understanding of all pay rules according to policy. 

2. Must handle all payroll matters with utmost confidentiality.

3. Is required to have a full understanding of vacation policies and procedures.

4. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all time and attendance entries submitted to Fidelity for processing of paychecks.  Time & attendance files are processed bi-weekly and must be submitted to outsource payroll provider by defined deadline.  Timeliness and accuracy is critical.

5. Is required to have a full understanding of the functionality of the electronic time reporting system and is responsible for training employees on the use of the system.

6. Coordinates Freeport site payroll developments and improvements with local and Corporate Human Resources and Payroll departments.

7. Responsible for accuracy of payroll output and discusses highly confidential information with employees and all levels of management.

8. Required to have a full understanding of outsource payroll provider’s pay code descriptions in order to assist employees with understanding the line items on their paychecks.

9. Responsible for manual updates to CyberShift annually for employee vacation and floating holiday hours and company paid holidays.

10. Develops and utilizes payroll reports and report writer program to provide payroll information for employees and management.

11. Is required to have a full understanding of the interface between the site’s electronic time and attendance system and the outsource payroll provider’s system. 


 

Human Resources

1. Assists in the management of the hiring process for Freeport Site.
2. Creates & processes requisitions in HMS, coordinates advertisement and testing processes in compliance with BASF standards. 
3. Coordinates with Training Coordinator, the employee orientation and training.
4. Coordinates employee relation initiatives and functions.Must have strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively both written and oral. Miinimum of one (1) year Human Resources experience. Must have strong problem solving skills. BS or BA degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is a plus. Professional Human Resources certification (PHR or SPHR) desired.
