Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager

 Due to our growth, we currently have an opening for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager at our Divisional Headquarters located in Denver CO. 

Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide support and guidance in area of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) programs to the Northamerican (USA and Canada) service operations in an multiple site (20 locations) environment.  Works directly with operations management on corporate, regional and local level.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop, monitor and maintain Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures consistent with Hoerbiger priorities and policies as well as compliance with relevant regulations (ISO, OSHA, DOT).

 

Complete setting up, implementing and maintaining Quality Management System and ISO certification

 

Oversee and participate in customer and ISO audits and act as the management representative.

 

Monitor and report vendor quality performance.

 

Drive corrective actions on significant internal and external HSEQ issues.

 

Work with operations to seek out and standardize HSEQ best practices throughout the Company sites and provide training

 

Act as a focal point for addressing HSEQ issues within HSNA

 

Evaluate, develop and implement HSEQ training programs for new and existing employees

 

Inspect, analyze, and monitor facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with government and company requirements

 

Serve as a catalyst and expert resource to promote and maintain a positive safety culture within the organization

 

Provide expertise for investigations of HSEQ concerns and incidents, development corrective actions and follow-up mechanisms, and ensure communication of relevant information to management and all employees

 

Lead worker’s compensation case management and return to work programs together with HR

 

Monitor federal and state agencies for regulatory changes and advise operations of same

Share lessons learned (accident investigations) and best practices

Education and/or Experience

Fifth year college or university program certificate and Five or more years experience managing, directing, and being a major contributor to a Health, Safety, Environmental, & Quality program within the Energy Sector; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees in Engineering, Industrial Safety/Engineering, or HSEQ related majors are preferred

 

Other Skills and Abilities

Familiar with associated health and safety regulations and standards for energy industry and related testing equipment, methods, and processes

 

Nationally recognized Quality and Safety and Health certifications preferred, OSHA  and ISO Instructor

 

Must have knowledge of ISO, process auditing, and writing procedures

 

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and CQE and CQM Quality certifications are a plus
