Human Resource Consultant to Sr. Human Resources Consultant at Lyondell

Consultant to multiple client groups, with a broader span and scope of responsibility (primarily Managers and Supervisors). Project work assigned by HR management. These services include: staffing, succession performance management, organizational design, general business planning and problem resolution. Assignment will be located at the headquarters in support of the Global Shared Services functions.

Able to influence others with whom he/she has no direct authority (i.e., clients).Act as a change agent, providing expert counsel as a partner in successfully managing continuous improvement.Knowledgeable about the organization’s systems, processes, structure, technology, products, markets, customers, suppliers and competitors; understanding the creation of stakeholder value.Ability to drive change, challenge the status quo; & take specific actions to facilitate change.Identify & provide solutions for handling potential "people" concerns as related to business issues.Takes actions to ensure diversity is a part of doing business - teams, projects, meetings, and other work activities.Must demonstrate skill in communication/influence skills at all levels in the organization (primarily Corporate Leaders).Must demonstrate knowledge of business/organizational design principles. Must demonstrate effective judgment and decision making ability. From a broad perspective, acts as the liaison to ensure the compliance of federal/state laws and regulations for the HR department/site/client group assigned.

Asserting own ideas & persuading others with a specific objective in mind; recognizing the need to have multiple strategies & skills & adapt to different situations; gaining support & commitment from others; mobilizing people to take action. Must have a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of HR experience. Masters and corporate headquarters experience preferred.
