Human Resources Manager

Global company in Murray Hill, NJ has an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in their Employee Relations Department.This position is direct hire with competitive salary, bonus potential and benefits.Job Summary - Provide HR generalist support to business departments, oversee various HR programs and policies and work on strategic HR projects. Job duties are 50% tactical, 50% strategic.Primary Responsibilities: Provide day to day employee relations, coaching and counseling, performance management, and recruitment participation to internal clients .  Heavy interface with first tier hr call center in continuous process improvement and refinement of policy, procedures and faqs for call center utilization.  Project management/development or participation in strategic hr projects including  change management planning and sustainability   Provide hr support for organization realignments, acquisition, divestitures. Ongoing acquisition of pertinent hr benchmarking/best practice for continuous improvement. Collaborate regularly across generalist team and other HR areas to leverage programs and consistent employment practices and procedures. Transfer ER/LR knowledge and tools to train Employee Services team on generalist policy, procedures and faqs for call center utilization Lead and implement succession planning Job Requirements: Bachelors’ Degree required; graduate degree a plus. 5-10 years of HR Generalist / HR Management experience delivering HR programs and solutions required in addition to strong knowledge of employment law. (At least 5 years of experience must be in HR Management) Manufacturing / Chemical Industry experience a plus. Demonstrated experience improving HR efficiencies, processes and/or policies as well as solid problem solving, and negotiating skills Labor Relations experience including contract negotiations and unionization attempts a plus.   Change management, OD/facilitation and/or consultative skills essential. Must be poised working and interfacing with various levels of management; strong presentation skills desired; experience partnering with line management required.
