Human Resources Supervisor-OxyChem

•Administer and provide oversight of all HR policies, procedures and governmental regulations ensuring consistency of application and administration.
•Develop and conduct training and developmental programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and the work environment.
•Provide guidance to plant supervision to resolve employee problems and issues.
•Responsible for employment activities including recruitment, screening, selection and orientation of technician and salaried hiring, as well as the job selection and succession of plant employees.
•Assist with plant salary administration program, including hourly wage increases and performance management programs
•Oversee the administration of the operations and maintenance internal staffing process at the technician level.
•Spend a significant amount of time in the plant to increase communications, resolve questions and concerns, and enhance accessibility to employees.
•Participate in local wage and benefit surveys as appropriate under safe harbor guidelines.
•Conduct investigations and propose solutions to workplace issues.
•Conduct on boarding programs and administer the Houston Operations mentoring program.
•Coordinate all EEO activity including charge responses, investigations, diversity initiatives and AAP information preparation.

•BS/BA degree with four or more years related experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
•Strong communication and presentation skills.
•Applied experience in, salary administration, recruitment and staffing, EEO and diversity programs, organizational development and employee relations.
•General familiarity with the employment laws that impact human resource policies and decisions.
•Willing to relocate.
