Position Overview:Be part of a company that has a long-standing leadership position in serving the demanding applications of the energy sector.
Excel as the Hydrocarbon Manager with this newly formed Oil and Gas group that will identify business application synergies for the oil and gas industry.
Work with a company consisting of different organizations that will identify products, services and technologies so they can become available to improve downstream oil and gas activities.
Hydrocarbon Manager Duties:Report directly to the Marketing Manager, Refinery Products.
Your objective will be to achieve sales and profitability targets for existing products used all along the hydrocarbon value chain, to include petroleum refining and petrochemical processing by providing technical assistance and sales support to these customers.
Identify new product opportunities, interface with Research and Development, and manufacturing to meet application requirements, and execute commercialization so they can become available to improve downstream oil and gas activities.
Provide technical guidance to the business unit on the hydrocarbon processing markets, current process and application issues as well as evolving technological trends.
Identify new market, product and application hydrocarbon opportunities via market research and customer interface, provide justification for R&D activities to expand sales and increase profitability.
Support direct customer sales through quotations and technical assistance; recommend and prepare and product pricing, placement and promotion; assist in preparing and implementing sales plans and forecasts to maximize the financial benefit of sales activities.
Manage the key hydrocarbon customers by providing technical assistance, engineering services and consulting; identify and promulgate strategic partnerships with process licensors, E&C firms, catalyst companies and other current and potential distribution channels to increase customer base in our key segments.
Serve as a key technical interface with R&D and manufacturing in order to successfully define and commercialize new technologies for the refinery and gas processing industries to increase new products sales, success rate and reduce time-to-market.

Relocation Assistance
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Must have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline from a four-year college or university.
Masters of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline from a four-year college or university is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in the hydrocarbon industry with a thorough hands-on knowledge of refining and/or gas processes and applications.
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in the hydrocarbon industry as a chemical engineer anywhere along the hydrocarbon value chain, to include petroleum refining and petrochemical processing.
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in the hydrocarbon industry as a chemical engineer providing technical assistance, engineering services and consulting at a oil or gas plant, engineering and construction firm (E&C) or a catalyst company.
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in the hydrocarbon industry as a chemical engineer in a research and development facility or a technology lab for the petrochemical refinery, oil and gas processing industries.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time in North America with some International.
Proficient PC skills including business software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
