Inside Sales Representative
Job Description
Position Title: Inside Sales Representative
Reports to:
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Exempt or Non-Exempt: Exempt
Salary/Hourly: Salary
Travel Required: Yes – 10% local travel

Responsibilities and Description of Role:
The Position – This sales-emphasized role is a position who, if successful, can be placed into an outside sales slot. The ideal candidate is a person who is a good communicator, is persistent, aggressive, self-motivated, competitive, and a self-starter who can work independently. This person would report to and be trained by the mini bulk sales manager. This person must have a strong desire to succeed and to be promoted to an outside sales position. They will be responsible for the customer service, sales and profitability of some inside accounts.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop working knowledge and understanding of BCS chemicals and delivery system
· Relationship development and possible maintenance of existing BCS customers.
· Generate new business with existing customers and new prospects by phone and through cold calling
· Required to visit customer sites on a regular basis for familiarization with our system
· Track lead status generated by mini bulk manager and product managers
· Assist in the National Account Program as needed
· Track sales-related operations tasking: tank optimization, retains, safety showers, etc
· Assist outside sales group as needed: faxes, MSDS, C of A’s, etc
· Track SFS Customer Complaint Issues
· Review branch red files on a quarterly basis to help develop new business
Experience Required:
· 1-3 years of Customer Service or Inside/Outside Sales support experience.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize on a on-going basis
· Innate desire to succeed and grow!
· Self-motivated
· A technical background would be helpful, but more importantly the ability to learn quickly.
Skills Required:
· Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook a must.
Education:
BS or BA: 4 year degree
Additional Information:
May include some travel.
Citizenship Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
