NCH manufactures and markets an extensive line of maintenance, repair and supply products to customers in over 55 countries worldwide. NCH products include chemical specialties, fasteners, welding alloys and plumbing parts as well as maintenance and supply products. These products are sold and serviced primarily through the Corporation’s own sales force. Job Summary:We currently have two openings for this position, located at our world headquarters in Irving, TX. The instructional designer will be responsible for designing and developing instructional material for instructor-led training, self-paced computer based training and on-the-job training materials, with a focus on application or technical training. The ideal candidate should have 3 – 4 years of experience with application training curriculum. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Create training plan and statement of work for applicable projects Facilitate course design workshops with functional and business subject matter experts (SME’s) Evaluate and confirm learning objectives through ongoing needs assessments Conform to established eLearning standards and guidelines set forth by the IT Training department Work directly with internal customers to capture pre-defined data elements based on internal documentation templates and style guides; clarify and revise existing training material Implement and evaluate instruction for adult learners Update and maintain multi-media instructional design content Provide reporting to management on web-based training progression and completion, student usage, and instructor-led training completion Conduct or assist with delivery of instructor-led training courses Perform interviews and consultation surveys with management to analyze training needs Assist in compiling training manuals and job aids for specific topics Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree, preferred Understanding of e-learning and blended learning concepts and methodologies Understanding of adult learning techniques and solution development Highly motivated, flexible team player with demonstrated ability to thrive in a business-critical high stress environment Excellent customer service, problem solving, and written and oral communication skills Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to approach zero errors in final work product Proficient with Adobe Captivate Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with Microsoft Visio, Oracle Applications, FLASH and HTML is a plus In return for your talent, we offer: Outstanding benefits including 401(K) with matching funds, major medical, dental, vision, life, long and short term disability.
