Inventory Specialist

Job Title:                    Inventory/Fixed Assets Specialist    

Department:               Accounting

Reports To:                Assistant ControllerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain inventory sub-ledgers, coordinate physical inventory according to the company’s schedule and reconcile any differences between physical inventory and book inventory.

2. Maintain  fixed assets sub-ledgers and record monthly depreciation entries.

3. Balance the inventory and fixed asset sub-ledgers to the GL, monthly.

4. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma.

Minimum of three years of related experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

PC literacy, MS Office, Internet knowledge and proficient computer skills.

Microsoft Great Plains experience is preferred but not required.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective oral and written and telephone skills.

Productive time management skills required.

Analytical skills a must.SUPERVISORY SKILLS:

None.Someone with more Accounting rather than operational. 

 

Experience with manufacturing or chemical company a huge plus.
