Jr. Engineer (Mechanical/Chemical) - LOCAL ONLY

Presently we are seeking Engineering candidates to support our client, Momentive, based in Waterford, NY.

Candidates residing within the Capital District are highly preferred.  Relocation, per diem and travel expenses are not available.

 

To be considered for these positions, individuals must meet the following requirements, and experience:

 

Requirements:

Ø BS/MS in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering (Chemical preferred)

Ø 5 -10 years experience in managing projects in a process related industry (chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper etc)

Ø Familiarity and experience with P&ID’s

Ø Capital Improvement Project Experience

Ø Microsoft Office 2000 (Basics), and Internet knowledgeable.

Ø Knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2002 or newer

Ø SAP accounting familiarity a plus

Ø Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Ø Ability to multi-task

 

Position responsibilities:

 Ø Manage 2-4 Capital improvement projects at the same time

Ø Provide process project reviews. (Six Sigma process experience a big plus)

Ø Review scheduled stages of engineering project, subcontractor reviews, and start up reviews

Ø Assume financial responsibility for the projects and generate needed reports using MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
