LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – HAMMOND, IN. DISTRICT OFFICE

 

Orbital Engineering,® Inc., is a nationally recognized multi-discipline engineering and design company with offices in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.  The Electrical Engineering Department at our Hammond, IN. District Office has an Electrical Engineer position available for a motivated, ambitious, and goal oriented Electrical Engineer with power engineering experience.

The Ideal candidate will have experience in Power Distribution, Power Generation, Motor Control, Lighting, Grounding, Specification Writing, Studies, and Cost Estimating. The Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of local and international codes.

 

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

 Perform technical analyses of electrical power systems including: short circuit, coordination, and load flow studies. Development of project scope, cost estimates, and assist with engineering proposal development. Development of and compliance with client's engineering standards. Support of engineering designers and CAD drafting personnel.

 

Desired skills:

 Electrical power systems experience. Experience in process controls. Exposure to PLC based systems.

 

The successful candidate must have a four year B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. College courses in the area of power systems are required. Municipal electrical experience is a plus.  PE License or ability to obtain one is a plus.
