Lab Analyst

Belcan TechServices is currently recruiting for (2) LAB ANALYSTS for DuPont Electronic Polymers in Dayton OH. The ideal candidates will possess manufacturing lab experience and a working knowledge of GFAA as well as a High School Diploma. College degree is preferred with Chemistry major.  In depth knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including GC and HPLC, required. GFAA and GPC experience desirable.

The incumbent in this position is expected to perform in a team environment and be responsible for equipment, as well as, set up, operation, calibration (as required by method and instrument parameters), routine maintenance and trouble shooting of laboratory instrumentation.

Analytical analyses are run to support Production and Product Development Departments which include raw material, in-process, and finished-product testing.

Responsibilities also include reviewing and understanding analytical methods, MOCs standard operating procedures, and (SOPs) are required; and ensuring that all current procedures are followed, fully supporting our customers, and Production and Research Departments.

Each analyst must be skilled in the operation of the laboratory information management system (LIMS), as this is the tracking system used by the lab for all samples submitted.

More experienced analysts will also be required to train and mentor new or less-experienced analysts, as determined by the Analytical Lab Manager.
