Performs necessary mathematical calculations and interprets data. Provides input in developing improvements to existing procedures and techniques. Compiles, evaluates and submits results of tests directly to operating group. Responsible for accurate equipment operation and maintenance of equipment.Will have daily contact with all levels of laboratory, engineering and operations personnel to share information.  Some contact with instrument manufacturers for the purpose of operation and maintenance of analytical testing equipment.  Some troubleshooting of equipment with vendors. The successful candidate will have an Associate Degree in Chemistry or related field with 1+ years experience in an Analytical Lab or equivalent level of education and experience. Must be sufficiently experienced to perform tests on all shifts without direct supervision.  Follows standard procedures.  Some independent judgment required.

 

Experience with XRF & ICP equipment helpful.
