The Lead Chemical Blender/Compounder will contribute be directly responsible for the production of manufactured chemicals by performing in all phases of production work.  Daily tasks include: weighing raw material, charging mix tanks, loading material into drums, operating a fork truck, completing batch consumption & yield reports, performing housekeeping for a clean and safe work environment, and a host of other duties.  The successful candidate will be expected to acquire additional skills through on the job training necessary to move up in the organization.  This position requires working 8-10 hour daily shifts with required overtime during heavy production periods.

The successful candidate is required to pass the Florida Chemical pre-employment screening tests, show a valid driver's license, be drug free and have a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.  Incumbent should have a junior college education or equivalent experience through on-the-job training and workplace education and be able to work required overtime.Job duties include:  working outside in various weather conditions, performing physical requirements of the job such as; bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs. routinely and 60 lbs. or more on occasion, climbing ladders and working at various heights.  The successful candidate will be very safety conscious and have a high degree of maturity and experience working with and around chemicals, show initiative, attention to detail, be results orientated and customer focused, possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
