STRATEGIC PROCUREMENT – OPERATIONS I am seeking a talented Procurement professional with a strong background in Supply Chain development and management.  The opportunity reporting to the Director of Operations will include aggressive development and implementation for Lean Enterprise Systems, as well as developing and executing strategies and methodology for the Global cost-effective procurement of components, items and services for new and existing products. Leading the assessment of industry trends and developing strategic initiatives. Responsibilities will include supervising planning and procurement teams. Our client is a $9 billion NYSE company, employing over 30,000 people and serving s within pharmaceutical and biotech companies, hospitals and clinical diagnostic labs, universities, research institutions and government agencies, as well as environmental and industrial process control settings. This stable and profitable respected leader is expanding rapidly due to multiple proprietary technology platforms that are being brought to market.  This is the result of 30 years of continuously profitable operations and a long term commitment to investment in product development. The essential position requirements include a four-year college degree in a related field is required.  Minimum of ten years experience in procurement roles in a manufacturing environment, with strong background on MRP, production scheduling/control and engineering change control.  Ability to work in a fast paced environment is required. APICS Certification in CPIM or CPM is desired. Must have SAP ERP experience.
