Maintenance Manager – Chemicals For this highly regarded basic and specialty chemicals company, provide leadership in operating their primary production facility in a safe and cost effective manner while adhering to the established production, quality and environmental standards. Additionally, this position is responsible for recommendations to improve the performance of the department with respect to health & safety, quality, production, environment and cost.Requisites· Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering preferred, or other technical background.· 5+ years of maintenance management experience, preferably in the production of minerals that require processing with high heat.· Demonstrated successes of leading work teams to high levels of achievements, developing maintenance systems to reduce downtime & outages, and increase productivity. · Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. Responsibilities and Duties· Monitor the operation, complete the appropriate reports, note any deviations and/or abnormalities and take corrective actions as necessary. · Propose recommendations to improve the performance of the department with respect Improves the manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. · Ensure that mechanical services, workforce training and supervision meet requirements and reflect current best knowledge, technologies and capabilities.· Ensure the equipment and the infrastructure are in a condition allowing to meet safety, environmental, quality, production and cost standards.· Report any lost time and deviations with recommended corrective measures and ensures corrective actions are implemented.· Achieve controllable Maintenance cost objectives and implement any corrective action if required to eliminate any cost variance.· Provide the proper management of the extraordinary maintenance budget. · Achieves compliance, in full, to the company Quality Management System.· Generate any non-conformance reports, recommend corrective measures, and take the appropriate immediate corrective actions. · Provide recommendations on how to improve any aspects of the operation.Key words – CMMS, TPM, TQM, reliability, maintenance, proactive, predictive, maintenance, engineer, mechanical, kilns, heat processing, productivity, leadership, manager, superintendent.
