Position Summary

 

The Maintenance Mechanical Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of production equipment for all production departments.  Assists with input, transition support and training for new equipment.  Recommends and implements improvements for Teams.  Hours of Work:  Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.

 

Responsibilities 

 Responsible for equipment repair and maintenance per verbal and written requests. Investigates failures and repairs equipment to an optimum level of productivity. Establishes and performs preventive maintenance. Maintains spare parts and tooling inventory.  Researches best vendor and outside services. Responsible for the safe set up and repair of equipment to prevent injury or harm to self, operators, or equipment and minimize liability to the company. Responsible for implementation of new equipment and process improvements. Gives input to Production Engineering on new equipment and process improvements. Sets up new machines for maximum productivity. Assists with the transition of new equipment from Production Engineering to Production.

 

 



Requirements


Job Requirements

 

Two-year technical trade school with two years related experience, or a combination of 6 years experience including mechanics, electronics, process logic controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, or machining.

High mechanical, electronic, and electrical aptitude.  High troubleshooting aptitude. 

Basic machining skills, basic math and measurement skills. 

Ability to read prints, schematics and technical manuals. Innovative skills. 

Work well with people, work well in stressful situations.
