Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a Marine Logistics Manager in The Woodlands, Texas.
Key Accountabilities:
· Strategically manage all aspects of Huntsman’s corporate Marine activities including Bulk Ships, Barging, Container Shipping and Import Logistics.
· Continually evaluate and review all Marine activities to identify cost efficiencies and to achieve the highest levels service to Huntsman.
· Work with Director-Logistics to establish the business plan and goals for the Marine group.
· Approve and sign off on all Marine related contracts.
· Solicit bids and negotiate contracts for new and expiring contracts for Marine services.
· Meet regularly with carriers and service providers to determine if service levels are meeting contractual obligations.
· Responsible for accuracy of SAP freight tables.
· Develop, analyze, report and improve KPIs as it relates to Marine logistics.
· Responsible for department Sox Compliance of all Marine/Import processes.
· Insure all vendors invoices are processed accurately for payment.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree.
· 10+ years industry experience. Supply chain experience preferred.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
· Must have strong negotiation skills.
· Must have highly developed leadership, and management skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and willingness to challenge established practices.
· Computer literate and experience using MS Word, Excel and SAP.
· Ability to problem solve & maintain good relationships with customers, customs brokers, international offices and vendors.
· Attentive to detail, analytical, efficient and organized.
· Knowledgeable with respect to industry standards as it relates to Marine Logistics.
