Join "The Easiest Company to do Business With!"  Join “The Easiest Company to do Business With!” EMD Chemicals Inc., an affiliate of Merck KGaA, Germany and a leading manufacturer of Analytical Reagents, Biosciences and Specialty Chemicals, currently has an excellent career opportunity for a Market Segment Manager, Microbiology to join our growing corporate headquarters located in Gibbstown, NJ.  Responsibilities: To manage the Pharmaceutical Microbiology market segment for the EMD Chemicals Microbiology Business, by strategic planning, positioning / addition of key products and the development of programs to ensure positive return on sales.  As a subject matter expert you will position EMD Chemicals as a market leader in the designated segment by developing a reputation for providing innovative, quality products / solutions, excellent service and technical support, increasing market share in the designated segment. This position includes the following:  Developing and executing Strategic Marketing Plans Launching new products and monitoring results. Working with Merck cross functional teams in the development of marketing programs and new products. Accurate product forecasting & inventory management Multi-level presentations to key customers. Developing technical literature and sales tools in cooperation with Divisional Services. Interfacing with Regulatory agencies and Industry Opinion Leaders in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Field Sales support for strategic accounts. Requirements:  3 – 5 Years Product Management or Business Development experience. 1 - 3 years field sales experience with life science products. Strong microbiology skills / knowledge base of pharmacopoeia based microbiology methods and an understanding of validation requirements. Proven ability to effectively grow business relationships at key strategic accounts. Excellent communications, presentation and technical writing skills. B.S. in Microbiology or Life Science, M.S. preferred  Preferred:   2 – 5 years laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical QC lab or microbiology other microbiology QC laboratory.
