Sandvik Materials Technology, a leader in the manufacture of Specialty Steel Products, has an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Specialist, located in Clarks Summit, PA.

 

This high exposure role will provide detailed market intelligence for specialized SMT Sales Teams focusing on Local Value-Added Sales and new customer acquisition.

 

Key Performance Areas:



Reporting to the newly appointed Business Development Manager, this position will be engaged in market research, prospect identification, lead qualification, initial sales support and communications. The preferred location for this assignment is Clarks Summit, PA., but other areas may be considered.

 

 Other responsibilities will also include:

 

· Identifying target markets

· Providing detailed research and other information to qualify customer leads

· Development of customer prospects for chosen product applications

· Prioritizing customer potentials for field sales contacts

· Coordinating interactions with the product units

· Other commercial and administrative activities in support of a new business “Hunting Team” in the Americas.

 

Your Profile:

 

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration

· Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in industrial marketing or inside sales

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to perform well in a customer focused, team-oriented, work environment

·  “21st Century Communication Skills,” including Lotus Notes, MS Office and the ability to develop expert status in specialized sales / marketing databases and CRM applications

· Knowledge of the metals industry is a plus
