Huntsman currently has a challenging position as an Operations Manager at Performance Products location in Port Neches, Texas.
Key Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
· Managing the olefins manufacturing unit as well as power & utilities generation/distribution systems for the Port Neches site
o Manage assets with a replacement value in excess of $500MM
o Materials flow $250MM/year
o Operating budget of $30MM/year (Approximate)
o Capital budget $5MM/year (Approximate)
o Personnel: 14 direct; 30+ indirect
· Provide leadership and strategic direction for unit personnel as well as directing the activities of support groups such as maintenance, project engineering, environmental compliance, and safety compliance.
· Ensure all personnel, activities, operations, management systems, policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations and Corporate policies, programs and initiatives
· Drive EHS and Process Safety Management improvements and compliance
· Develop, implement, and improve standard operating procedures, standard operating conditions and personal and process safety systems and procedures
Educational Requirements and Work Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
· 10+ years of applicable experience in production management, and plant engineering in a chemical or petroleum refining process manufacturing environment. Experience managing olefins manufacturing unit and power & utilities generation/distribution systems is a plus.
· Demonstrated commitment to compliance with regulatory and corporate regulations, policies and initiatives
