PERMANET PROJECT ENGINEER POSITION

OIL & GAS COMPANY LOCATED NEAR WEST HOUSTON IS SEEKING A PROJECT ENGINEER.  MUST HAVE SCR OR VFD DRIVES EXPERIENCE AND AC DISTRIBUTION.  THIS IS A MUST FOR THIS POSITION.  BENEFITS START ON HIRE DATE.  MEDICAL, DENTAL,401K,TUTION REIMBURSEMENT AND VACATION. 

Job Description: 

 

q  Provide technical leadership in the development and production of SCR or VFD drives.

q  Recommend alternate designs for immediate projects.

q  Responsible for design of SCR or VFD drives, generator controls, and AC distribution systems.

q  Interface with the customer to achieve designs compatible with the customer’s needs.

q  Responsible for insuring that ISO procedures are followed in all stages of the project.

q  Provides design input for control hardware and software development.

q  Responsible for initial one-line and detail drawing development.

q  Provides support to manufacturing during prototype and production construction.

q  Provides support to testing during prototype and production testing.

q  Provides start-up and commissioning support to Field Service.

q  Provides support on technical issues such as “Harmonic Interference and Suppression.”

q  Provides support to Sales and Marketing in the production of sales literature, write-ups, and training.

q  Assist with generation of job-specific spare parts lists.

q  Provide support to Document Control in the generation of product Technical Manuals and project required documentation.

q  Make necessary field trips to resolve customer issues and offer customer support.

q  Initiate action to prevent occurrence of non conformity and identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.  Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

q  Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts.

 Education/Training

 

q  BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or three (3) years Design and/or Oil Field Service experience along with two (2) years of classroom technical education.

q  Three (3) years engineering / field service experience in design and operation of SCR or VFD drives.
