PROCESS ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting candidates for our client, a manufacturing firm located in the Tallahassee, FL area.  Relocation is available for this opportunity.  The position is open due to growth within the organization. 

Years Of Experience:    3+ three years of experience in a manufacturing environment

 

Education:  Bachelor Degree Engineering( Chem E, ME and EE Required)

 Responsibilities – Process Engineer

Provide technical support for developmental work that relates to changes or enhancements to finished product attributes, cost optimization efforts, and product quality and uniformity improvements.  Individuals are typically assigned to support a major operating area or a major product grade category.

 

¨  Provide main plant interface with Product Development (PD) staff for working product changes and executing experimental orders.  Also, lends expertise on plant operations and equipment capabilities to support PD staff with new product ideas. 

¨  Work with operating module(s) to support optimization work aimed at cost reductions and quality improvements.  Lead execution of Process Optimization Changes by developing the experimental plan including approval, execution, data collection, and data analysis, working closely with operating technicians to execute the change, and communicating and managing the execution of these efforts on a plant-wide perspective.

¨  Work closely with the Engineering organization to support short and long range process change planning efforts.  Interactions may include estimating future equipment capability needs, determining the best approach for achieving a specific process change, or developing options for achieving different finished product attributes.

¨  Provide process input and expertise during the execution and start-up of major capital projects.  Efforts will include pre start-up planning, start-up support, and post start-up optimization.

¨  Provide technical support on an as needed basis to operating module(s) for solving chronic operational problems or major quality issues that may arise. 

¨  Individuals will have the opportunity and responsibility for further developing their technical mastery through company and industry sponsored technical courses and training programs.

¨  Individuals will have some budget responsibilities.
