PROCESS TECHNICIAN

This is a new job in a start-up manufacturing plant, making a new high-tech material. Position will assist in the transfer of processes from R & D to manufacturing. This position will operate chemical processes and related manufacturing equipment, as well as some mechanical process equipment. Position is responsible for  the identification of process modifications to improve product quality, process safety, and reduce costs. Also, this position will maintain and clean process equipment including performing maintenance activities. Identify and track key process parameters and perform other duties as necessary. Position is a day shift job. Candidate must be able to work overtime as required.

REQUIREMENTS: A High School diploma or an associate degree with at least 5 years of industrial and technology experience. A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field would be considered an advantage. Able to demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and skills. Able and willing to work with chemical solutions and understand chemical reactions. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. At ease in a team oriented organization. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks within a manufacturing facility. Must be able to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
