Solutia, Inc., a leading manufacturer of film interlayer products, has immediate opening for a Personnel Safety Lead at its Springfield, MA location. The selected candidate will lead safety improvements and the injury prevention process to drive the site toward its ultimate goal of Zero Injuries. The selected candidate will also be clearly visible in operating as well as support areas helping supervisors and employees as they strive to institutionalize ''Taking Personal Ownership For Safety'' as a core value of the site.

Responsibilities for this position include:Lead site Personnel Safety program to promote performance expectations for safe work practices and other changes required to achieve ''Zero Injuries'' safety culture at the siteManage effective implementation of and compliance with all Personnel Safety policies and procedures including LOTO, BIP, Line Labeling, Confined Space and Fall Protection. This includes hands on instruction in these areas as requiredEnsure timely completion and follow-through of Incident Investigations involving Personnel Safety and lead changes to prevent future injuriesLead VPP Compliance effortsProvide ESHS support to all operating and support areasRequired Skills
