Pipeline Scheduler

Directly responsible for scheduling oil movements on various Sunoco Logistics Western Area Pipelines. Accountable for issuing daily pumping orders to Control Center in a timely and accurate fashion. Pumping orders reflect close coordination of inventories & receipts and ensures proper ratability of deliveries to customers. In charge of receiving, analyzing, and determining acceptance of shipper nominations. Directly responsible for preparing schedules of activities for terminal operators and field personnel that direct their monthly activities and ticketing procedures. Works closely with shippers, operations coordinators, pipeline controllers, engineers and field personnel to coordinate events in pipeline activity that affect the movement of product. Provide timely responses and information to the accounting groups such as scheduling letters, new account letters, and resolution of monthly over and short problems. Develop and distribute oil movement reports that reflect monthly and yearly flows. Provide analytical support when necessary to Oil Movement Department and Business Development Department in areas of continuous improvement and business growth.



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in crude oil and/or product pipeline movements. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), and good interpersonal skills. Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to changes resulting from pipeline interruptions or refinery run changes. Strong organizational skills and time management skills required. Proficiency using PC applications, specifically Word and Excel.
