Plant Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: The world leader in their industry is seeking a growth oriented Plant Engineer for its Texas facility.  Duties will include: Provide engineering support for plant modifications, process improvements, equipment & procedural training, regulatory compliance, management of change updates, small capital projects and process engineering management. Identify and implement projects to reduce cost and energy usage and to improve productivity. Update P&IDs, loop drawings, and electrical drawings as part of the MOC process. Lead optimization activities. Troubleshoot process equipment and implement changes that eliminate chronic problems. Maintain budget control for project activities. Participate in monthly safety meetings, conduct process hazard analysis and participate in or lead Hazard Reviews, Incident Reviews and Root Cause Analysis. Serve on Plant continuous improvement committee. Help identify and implement environmental protection projects.  JOB REQUIREMENTS: BS in Chemical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of Plant Engineering/Chemical Engineering in a chemical manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations. Ability to Control budgets on projects. Computer proficiency. Understanding of industrial business. Ability to interface with management and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to grow in the organization.
