Huntsman has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual as a Process Control IT Technician in our Freeport, Texas manufacturing facility.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for maintaining and improving the process control systems.Write Emerson DeltaV configuration code as directed by the process control engineer.Act as Alarm System Manager.Create, maintain and deliver Emersion DeltaV training.Maintain Process Control Strategy Documentation.Maintain Aspen Historian.
Other Accountabilities:
Act as local security officer (LSO), ensure that computer equipment and information security is compliant with Huntsman guidelines.Manage local area network and other local hardware Serve as local contact for infrastructure managed by corporate IT. Ensure that all servers are properly backed up.Manage the “local-below the business firewall” servers. Develop plant information systems expense budget; develop lease and maintenance contract technical requirements; review invoices and track expenses.Provide local support for IT applications. Act as IT administrator for these applications. Train users on local IT tools.Manage/track license and maintenance agreements for all local IT applications.
Educational Requirements & Work Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Some college coursework completed.7+ years experience in Petrochemical industry
Special Requirements & Qualifications:
Trained and experienced in Emerson Delta V configurationExperience with DeltaV Hardware configuration.Experience with Aspen IP21
