Product Manager - Tubular Products

Sandvik Materials Technology, a leader in the manufacture of specialty metallic materials for diverse applications, has an immediate opening for a Product Manager - Tubular Products located in Houston, Texas.

 

As part of the as part of technical sales team, this position will be responsible for technical sales focusing on strengthening Sandvik’s position with the major Chemical, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas customers among others, in the North and South American markets and marketing of special, highly alloyed tubular products for the Oil & Gas segment.



Position Overview:

· Direct regional sales effort to attain or exceed projected business plan.

· Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager to develop strategies to grow revenues and profitability.Direct sales forecasting activities and establish goals for direct reports.

· Execute strategic activities for niche/special products, such as market plans, business proposals, etc.

· Identification and development of new applications through market research and analysis

· Introduction of new products in the market

· Pricing and value based selling argumentation.


Your Profile

 

· B.S. degree in a technical discipline – Engineering or Metallurgy is preferred

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience

· Experience in technical marketing/sales related to the above industry is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to travel up to 50% of time both domestically and internationally

· P.C. skills including spreadsheets, databases, graphics, word processing, and use of internet

· Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

· Ability to perform in a team-oriented, continuous improvement environment

· Strong initiative and self motivation
