For more information on Celanese Corporation, please visit the company's web site at www.celanese.com Purpose and Summary of Position: Directly involved in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Compounding department including department safety, product quality and yields, and employee development to optimize department oeprations and ensure fair and consistent implementation of company policies.Compounding Department includes: Compounding production, Solid State production, and new product trials. Also includes driving quality notifications to closure. Major activities will include: -Troubleshooting process problems, identifying and developing improvement porjects, optimize unit operations, manage inventory, and set production schedules.-Develop operations staff-Coordination of the unit work processes which include developing unit improvement projects, tracking of unit production issues, optimizing asset utilization, reporting and improving unit safety.-Overall improvement of unit reliability and operationsInterface well with all facets of the organization, specifically work daily with production, technical, and supply chain organizations in addition to the business teams. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years industrial experienceStrong analytical skillsStrong computer skillsstrong interpersonal and leadership skillsstrong communication skills, both oral and written Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with compounding processes preferredDemonstrated Six Sigma experience a plus Compensation & Benefits: Celanese Corporation offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
