The Nylon Intermediates facilities consist of adiponitrile, adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine and other nylon intermediate products.The Victoria area is a strong, growing community situated 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico on the Mid-Texas Gulf Coast and serves as a regional hub for more than 185,000 citizens. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand the site goals and align activities to support achievement of these goals Ensure accurate communication and verify area jobs to understand and eliminate potential EH&S impact and business interrupters Attention to detail and operating discipline Utilize all area procedures to execute work Support the development of the Unit Technology Plan Provide feedback to the Process Improvement Leader based on identifying the highest priority technology improvement opportunities. Ensure Project Group supports delivery of capital and cost projects with high impact and low complexity that meet or exceed the business timing and expectations. Manage projects per the Small and Large Project Work Processes Conduct final project review and audits, and communicate findings/suggestions to appropriate work processes. Execute Gate reviews consistent with expectations of the Large Project process QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Engineering 10 Years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment 5 Years minimum experience as a Project Manager Working knowledge of Microsoft based PC software Must demonstrate the following: -ability to prioritize work and handle multiple jobs simultaneously -knowledge of front end loading fundamentals -knowledge of cost control fundamentals -leadership skills -verbal & written communications skills -analytical skills -planning & organizing skills -personal motivation & initiative with strong desire to learn -ability to work effectively in a team environmentEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFERRED: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree 10 Years minimum experience in the petroleum and /or chemical processing industry in a manufacturing environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment Must be able to climb stairs in operating unit Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time Must be willing to work periodic workdays in excess of 8 hours Must be willing to relocate to Victoria TexasTo be considered for Employment in this position you must be authorized to work in the United States.We are an equal opportunity employer.
