Project Technologist

Tracerco, a process diagnostics company, is seeking process technicians for its office located in Concord, California. 

  Duties involved will be:

·  Traveling to refineries and other plants and assisting an Engineer or Project Leader in data gathering through radiological investigations.

·  Entails some overnight travel.

·  Climbing distillation towers and other process vessels.

·  Working with radioactive materials.

·  Maintaining mechanical equipment (harnesses, scanning reels and other hardware).

·  Maintaining and organizing shop work areas.

·  Ensuring company vehicles are in job-ready status (mechanic’s skills not required).

 

Tracerco, a Johnson Matthey company, specializes in process diagnostics for the refining, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  This is accomplished through radiological investigations and knowledge of various process equipment; Distillation Towers, Heat Exchangers, Process Reactors, Stills, Valves and Piping.

 

Skills and requirements:

·  High School Diploma or GED required. 

·  Good mechanical aptitude necessary.  Experience in an industrial environment preferred. 

·  Must be computer literate, having knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

·  Job involves overnight travel and rotating weekend on-call duty.

·  Must be able to obtain a passport and participate on occasional international jobs.

·  Must submit to all health and safety requirements including respirator fit testing.
