Purchasing Agent

YOU MUST HAVE SAP EXPERIENCE AND BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO BAY CITY, TEXAS TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION!!!

 

General Responsibilities:Follows company’s established sourcing process to obtain materials/services Plans work to ensure on-time delivery of  materials/services at agreed to price and specificationIssues Purchase Orders in company’s SAP system for required materials/servicesNegotiates local purchasing contracts for materials and servicesExpedites delivery of materials and services Delivers measurable costs savings/reductions to contribute to corporate goals.  Executes assignments as given by Director – North America Procurement or Commodity ManagerOversees local warehouse operations to ensure proper stocking levels are set and reorder process is operating correctly.



Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s DegreeStrong SAP experience with  ability to fully execute all functionality in the system related to Purchasing transactions Minimum of 3 years in a Buyer/Procurement roleStrong negotiation skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft  Excel, Word,  PowerPoint, OutlookProcurement experience in the chemical or refinery business is a strong plus
