KIK Houston located in Downtown Houston, procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of liquid household cleaning products.

We are immediately searching for a Quality Assurance Technician. As a valued member of our team - you will perform various post-production visual, dimensional, physical, and analytical inspection/testing procedures with bleach, ammonia, window cleaner products to evaluate conformance with various internal and/or customer-established product and test specifications expected in a World Class Manufacturing facility. You will report directly to the QA /Safety Manager and will be expected to contribute to the organization by innovative improvement ideas within the QA Department, to follow the ideas from concept through implementation, training, and follow-up for effectiveness.

CAPABILITIES AND ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONSCategorize and interpret defects found according to basic defect criteria (i.e. defect class. table);Perform testing, collect and compile data for new and existing products to establish proper process locations and variation parameters, completing capability studies and the reporting involved. This includes requests for specification revision and communication with customers and suppliers as required Conduct and write investigation reports Utilize problem solving skills to Perform Root Cause analysis and develop corrective action and preventive action plans Prepares required records/reports documenting inspection/testing procedure results (includes, e.g. master inspection sheet, product hold forms, lab sheets, etc.) Works in accordance with written product 'specification' guidelines and/or with written or verbal customer, department manager, or supervisory instructions Selects, identifies, procures, and processes representative product samples Responsible for promptly communicating details of any existing or potential quality problems upon detection to supervisory and management personnel to facilitate appropriate corrective actions Comply with all applicable KIK policies regarding S.O.P.'s, quality,GMP's, Safety, etc.


IDEAL REQUIREMENTSHS Diploma or GED Verbal and Written skills in English (writing to be clear and legible); Strong mathematical & statistical aptitude. Experienced in Microsoft Office software Outlook, Access, Excel, Word and SPC software Established record of good attendance and willingness to work overtime Effective communication skills to accomplish assigned tasks Ability to problem-solve and work according to established procedures Ability to accurately work with various measuring devises (i.e. dial indicators, scales, etc.) Ability to work with minimal supervision after appropriate level of training Effective organization/prioritizing/time management skills
