Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Sud-Chemie Inc., a global leader in specialty chemical and catalyst manufacturing has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our U.S. Headquarters in Louisville, KY.  This position provides an excellent opportunity for an individual wanting to work in a state of the art laboratory whop has the desire for advancement. Duties and Responsibilities:

Using wet, physical, and instrumental methods to analyze samples to determine product composition and characteristics (qualitative and quantitative analyses) Visually inspect finished product for quality just prior to shipment Document analysis in an organized logbook Calibrate equipment, solution standardization, and ISO updates Enter data into SAP and SQL LIMS Future (once qualified) assist in new employee training

 



Qualifications:

  Minimum of two years of college chemistry (Chemistry or Biology Degree would be highly preferred) or hands on lab experience equivalence Working knowledge of basic analytical chemistry Must be available and willing to work night shift Must be computer literate, very knowledgeable with the Microsoft Office products, and some SAP experience would be preferred but not required Strong mathematical aptitude General knowledge of and experience with instrumentation used for physical and wet chemical analysis: Atomic Absorbance, BET SA, Titrations, etc. Must have flexibility in schedule due to QC’s main obligation to maintain 7day/24hr operations Must be able to thrive in a team oriented environment and work effectively under little or no supervision Must be extremely well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
