Safety Advisor

Description:The position of Safety Advisor is part of a team of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) professionals who lead the refinery towards the company goals of "no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment". This position advises management regarding plant health and safety programs that satisfy the regulatory and business needs of BP-Husky Refining. The incumbent is responsible to audit health and safety programs, assess facility compliance, recommend corrections, and provide technical health and safety support. In addition, the individual will conduct inspections, investigate incidents, conduct hazard assessments and assist in the health and safety training of the refinery workforce. The incumbent for this position will be required to work evening shifts on a rotating 12-hour schedule.Qualifications:- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer. - Minimum of a high school diploma required. - Minimum 5 years experience in the health & safety field or equivalent petrochemical/manufacturing experience required. - Ability to work closely with team of Safety Advisors to ensure continuous safety support to refinery and able to manage time between field activities and technical responsibilities. - Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications also is required. - Must possess the ability to make effective presentations in a business and classroom setting.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Oregon, OHJob Number: RUSABP3127-594352Company Profile:Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy.
