Sales Representative - Innovative Adhesives Product Line

Description: National adhesives producer and distributor is looking to fill a critical sales position in the Los Angeles, CA area. This is an exciting 'ground floor' opportunity to join a rapidly growing and innovative adhesives company. The end-use markets are mainly packaging, printing, and assembly. Overnight travel will be approximately 30%.Responsibilities: Sell an innovative line of packaging adhesives in the Central States (CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, ID) marketplace. Work from a home office. Prospect for and develop new business opportunities in the territory. Introduce new products. Arrange for product trials. Manage pricing. Communicate effectively with management on sales progress. Develop and execute the sales strategy for the territory. Most of the business will be sold through distributors. Developing and maintaining good distributor relationships will be key. Travel overnight as needed.Requirements: 2 plus years of adhesives sales experience. Prefer a background in selling packaging (hotmelt) adhesives. A degree is preferred, but it is open as to the concentration. A strong level of self motivation. A type-A assertive sales style will work well. Strong organization and communication skills are a must. A past track record of sales success. A current, or past background with companies like Unisource, Xpedx, or Crown Packaging is on target.Desired: Packaging adhesives sales background.Company Information: National adhesives manufacturer and distributor.
