Pressure Chemical Co. provides chemical process development, piloting, custom chemical and toll manufacturing services to manufacturers employing chemical compounds and other sophisticated materials in their products.

We are currently seeking an outstanding candidate with a degree in Chemistry to join our team as a trainee for a new chemical sales position.

ROLE:  The role of the Sales trainee is to promote sales and maintain favorable relations with established customers and prospects.  Additionally, this position is responsible for providing quotations and interfacing with prospects and customers to translate needs into a process that can be implemented in our facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote and solicit sales of Pressure Chemical Co.’s products and process development services by maintaining regular face-to-face and telephone interaction with current customers and prospects.  Develop new business by visiting existing accounts and by introducing the services of PCC to new businesses and key personnel in prospective accounts.  Recommend sales promotion programs and techniques to develop new prospects and increase sales.

Work with sales and marketing managers to develop strategies and estimates for executing each client’s project and provide timely quotes.  Respond to customer inquiries and complaints while providing efficient and courteous service by processing orders and providing pertinent information.

Maintain complete records of all customer/prospect related activities in existing contact management and project management databases.
 
REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires a degree in Chemistry or strong background in science (i.e., chemistry, organic chemistry).  A background in sales and direct customer service is desirable.  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as an eye for detail are a must.  A basic knowledge of computer usage is required (experience with MS Windows, Word, Excel desirable), as is a valid driver’s license (US).
