The Senior Applications Support Engineer will report to the Manager of Applications Support in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an opportunity to have challenging responsibilities with complex systems at a global company. The Senior Applications Support Engineer is responsible for the following duties: Providing technical support to external and internal customers via phone, e-mail, and internet; Provide site based APC maintenance services and/or project support; Assist in product roll-out activities; Participate in R&D Technology review meetings and transfer appropriate technology to other support team members; Reproduce, submit, and verify assigned product reports; Conduct Technical training courses at the Automation College and at customer sites; Write and publish technical solution documents; Provide Sales Support and write proposals as requested. Please note: Extensive travel is NOT required.Travel is estimated at 25 percent to support to customers in Canada, U.S., and other countries as needed. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. 5 or more years process engineering experience in refining or petrochemicals industry. 7 or more years of experience with advanced process control. Additional Qualifications: Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified; Knowledgeable in Honeywell DCS systems. Demonstrated field experience with distributed control systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both customer and internal interaction; Honeywell’s Experian hardware platform, a plus. Demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure team environment.
