Senior Electrical Testing Technician

Job Purpose:

Preform maintenance testing, acceptance testing and troubleshoot electrical systems from 480V to 138 KV.



Duties:

* Preform electrical test on all electrical componets in an electrical system from 480 volts to 138 kv.


* Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, applications, and designs ; applying knowledge of electricity and test results.



* Confirm system's and components capabilities by using approved testing methods; testing properties.

* Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and controls durning emergency conditions.
 

* Evaluate product quality by electrical test and interpt test results using Doble Power Factor, Doble Relay test sets, AC & DC Hipots, VLF Cable test, Primary current injection test, Circuit breaker motion analyers, and other test equipment.


* Prepare reports by testing, collecting data, analyzing test results, inspections, and trends.


 

* Provide techincal support and information by answering questions and requests.



* Maintain company reputation by complying with company, customer, federal and state regulations.



* Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures for maintenance and repair service.



* Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.


* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
