Responsibilities:

 

Organizational Position



Member of Air Liquide Process and Construction Estimating Department Reporting to the Manager of Estimating.
Works cooperatively with ALPC Engineering disciplines including E&I, Mechanical, Construction, etc….

Works cooperatively Project Controls group and other AL groups in Europe, India, Asia, and elsewhere.

Tasks
Develop capital cost estimates for ASU Plants, HYCO, Syngas, Cryogas, and Plant Services Projects and other using internally developed proprietary tools and other software…
Collects actual cost data for current and past projects.
Maintains existing estimating databases with collected data
Works with the business group to understand the commercial aspect of the projects to ensure accurate modeling
Works with Product group to understand technical scope of work to ensure complete cost are estimated.
Works with project/proposal managers to understand layout and scope division of work.
Review and present estimates to Senior Management and other members of team working on proposal.
Lead and or perform material and quantity takeoff of equipment, piping, electrical and instrumentation, and insulation based on process flow diagrams, plant layouts, electrical one lines, historical
Develops positive relationships with Air Liquide business units.

 

Requirements:

 

Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise

Must have a basic understanding of process.
Must possess strong computer skills with the ability to develop and apply statistical analysis, regressions, etc…
Proficient in Aspentech Icarus estimating software
Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point and access
Good and clear reporting of his work
Knows how to organize himself to achieve a goal given to him without to many guidelines
Keep excellent traceability of the work he has performed
Able to apply rigorously estimating standards and procedures
Team spirit
Maintain orderly files of all correspondence, specifications, bids, quantity surveys
Motivated person
Quality orientated
Knows how to seek the information.
Organized Must possess ability to perform basic conversions from U.S. and imperial units.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business is required

Minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial industry.
