Our Billerica site has an opening for a Senior NMR Research Associate in our Analytical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine NMR measurements and assist in developing non-routine NMR methods when required. They will also assist in operating and maintaining NMR instruments and training a diverse group of NMR users. In addition they will support key Cabot R&D projects by performing various NMR measurements and other analytical tests, organizing data, interpreting data, and reporting the results and observations to supervisor and others within Cabot Corporation when necessary.

Requirements

The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in the sciences and a minimum of 3 years experience working in a chemical lab environment.



In addition, candidates must have the following competencies:Ability to work in a laboratory setting and a team environment. Able to learn analytical methods and experimental procedures quickly and have the organizational and observational skills to actively support development and problem solving activities. Experience in scientific laboratories, preferably industrial experience, and experience in NMR would be ideal. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong commitment to safety.
