Senior Power Systems Engineers

Our San Diego office has an immediate need for Senior Power Systems Engineers (Technical Lead Engineers) who are experienced in aspects of industrial power system design and implementation. This technical position requires current hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial power system solutions.

As we continue to experience consistent market growth and diversification, we are looking for solid talent for our busy office. These positions require the individual to work successfully in a team environment designing industrial power systems for the oil & gas and water/wastewater industries.  The successful candidate should have sound experience with:

§ Lead Electrical Design of power distribution systems including 25kV 13.8kV and 4.16kV switchgear

§ 4.16kV/600V MCCs and variable frequency drives

§ Short circuit, load flow, power factor and coordination studies

§ Design of electrical substations and ground grid systems

§ Design and application of protective schemes for power distribution systems

§ Design/Review of WDs, schematics, SLDs, cable trays and cable selection

§ Project scope definition and capital cost estimating

§ Operating plant project execution and co-ordination

§ Distribution system commissioning and troubleshooting

§ Preparation of equipment and construction specifications

§ Construction support and commissioning assistance

We prefer 5 or more years of technical experience in the oil & gas or water/wastewater industries, but will seriously consider all outstanding candidates. Candidates must have a degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university and be eligible for P.E. registration in California.
